What I Have Learned/Lo Que He Aprendido

About Me/Sobre Yo

  Hey, my name is Jared.  I'm a student at CMU with a double major in Technology Information and Spanish.  Currently I'm an exchange student in Valdivia, Chile, and so far I've found that Chile is a really nice place with beautiful landscapes, majestic mountains and sunny skies.  

  My main interests include: sports, reading, music, tinkering with computers and learning languages.  I love to play basketball and run and if i have the time i plan to continue to do those things.  As far as reading I like a good mystery or even the occasional spanish novel although i've only read one (maria).  For languages, I've been learning spanish for about 2.5 years and when I return from Chile i hope to be quite fluent.  I also know a little of Latin, French, and even Italian.  In my spare time I build computers and sell them.  I also help people fix their own problems as that is one of my jobs in Pearce Hall.  My other fixation right now is building websites.  You can see an example of my work here.  That will be the new Foreign Language Website at CMU, and should be put on the web shortly.
