  February:

  First Days  (Feb 25-28th)

   el viernes - el 25 de febrero-------

      Vine a valdivia y cuando llegue conoci a tia ligia y carola.  no he conocido nadie mas.  dormi por seis horas porque tenia sueno.  muchas horas despues yo sali con carola para divertirnos.  encontramos dos chicas de carola y las dos son hermanas.  Alexandra estudia seguros como mi padre hace y la otra quiere ser vetenaria.  Carola quiere ser ingeniera de comida y va a santiago para muchas entrevistas y para vivir.  todos fuimos a un bar se llama el bunker.  Primero temia que no fuera a entenderlas porque la musica era muy alto, pero depues de algun tiempo empece a entenderlas mejor.  Ademas yo comence a hablar mas porque bebia un poco de rum y coca-cola.  No he bebido hace mucho tiempo y solo nececitaba uno.  Despues de esto, fuimos a un club para ver una bailarina.  Ella bailo como shakira y era muy divertido para ver.  Tambien vi la cueca pero no puedo bailar como asi.  No puedo mover mis pies como ellos los mueven.  entonces regresamos a las 3 de la manana y comimos un sandwich de jamon y queso.  era delicioso!  

      I arrived in valdivia and when i came i met my aunt ligia and sister carola.  I didn’t meet anyone else.  I slept for a good 6 hours J after putting all my things away.  A few hours later I went out with carola and her two friends that are sisters.  Alexandra studies insurance like my dad and her sister wants to be a vetenarian.  Carola wants to be a food ingeneer and has to go to Santiago for a lot of interviews.  We all went to a bar called the bunker and at first I was scared that I wasn’t going to be able to understand anyone b/c the music was very loud.  But after some time I was able to understand and even talk a little better.  After that, we all went to a sort of club in what looked like a very big pole barn.  They were expecting a pro dancer and when she finally came she danced like shakira.    I also saw the jueca which is the national dance of chile. 

el sabado - el 26 de febrero-------

    Hoy fui con carola a la universidad para ver como es.  Caminamos por muchos edificios:  algunos de ciencias y otros como teatros para obras y un cine.  Despues de algun tiempo entramos en la jardin botanica donde hay mucha follaje y arboles.  Me parece como una cancha de frisbee golf y ojala que me amigo nick estuviera aquí porque hariamos algunas buenas canchas.  Despues fuimos al un mercado nuevo donde hay pixel, un café de internet.  Me gusto mucho porque solo costa un dólar por cada hora.  Hize algunos mensajes y empece a hacer mi pagina web.  Creo que puedo hacerlo aquí in mi cuarto y entonces lo mandare lo que he hecho en pixel.  Cuando regresamos comimos una merienda y jugamos naipes.(poquer)  los juegos(hands) van asi:

  Today i went with carola to see the university.  We walked all over the place and saw a lot of buildings: science, theaters, and a movie theater.  After some time we went into the botanical garden where there were lots of trees and foliage.  It looked like Frisbee golf course and I wished that nick was there cuz we’d make some awesome holes.  After awhile we went to the new market which has a computer lab called pixel. i liked it a lot because i can do my email and webpage work there. after that we came home and played poker. The hands went as shown above.

el domingo – el 27

Hoy era un dia de descansar.  No hize nada, pero yo me recuerdo que tenia una buena conversacion con tia ligia y carola.  Me ensenaron un poco de gramatica como preterito y impefecto, aquí y aca, alli y alla.  Tambien hablamos sobre peliculas sobre el exterminador, the predator, y aliens.  Yo fui = i went pero yo fui recien = i’m going to go.  Que extrano.

today was a day of rest. i didnt do anything, but i remember that i had a really good conversation with aunt ligia and carola. they taught me about grammar like past and imperfect, the difference between aqui and aca (which both mean here). we also talked about movies like the terminator, the predator, and aliens.

El Lunes – el 28

Fui con mary a niebla.  Es una ciudad que esta a lado la mar.  Era bonita, pero hacia mucha niebla.  Entonces no podia sacar buenas fotos.  Antes de salir por niebla, Mary y Yo fuimos a la universidad para la matriculacion pero nos faltan fotitos.  Entonces vamos a ir a la universidad otra vez en martes.

i went to niebla with mary. its a city thats next to the sea. Very pretty, but there was a lot of fog and i later came to find out that niebla means fog in spanish! Before that we went to the university for matriculation, but we didnt have small photos with us so we have to come back another day after we get the photos.
